A Memory Bench is a traditional and unique way to mark the passing of persons that have gone before us. It is globally and instantaneously recognised as a symbol of sensitive remembrance. The Memory Bench is an item of plain design but simple elegance: it is a fragile structure but can support us.

Our site is a quiet place to sit and remember friends and family that have went before us. It is a calm place of remembrance, recollection, and tranquillity. We ask you to sit awhile, and remove yourself from the burdens and stresses of daily life for a few moments and remember a friend.
You are able to share your own treasured and personal memories by inviting family and friends anywhere in the world to read and leave personal messages via our online service Each year we erect a memory bench in a beautiful location in remembrance of all persons remembered on the site.

Memory of the Day

Todays Memory

In April

This I saw on an April day:
Warm rain spilt from a sun-lined cloud,
A sky-flung wave of gold at evening,
And a cock pheasant treading a dusty path
Shy and proud.

And this I found in an April field:
A new white calf in the sun at noon,
A flash of blue in a cool moss bank,
And tips of tulips promising flowers
To a blue-winged loon.

And this I tried to understand
As I scrubbed the rust from my brightening plow:
The movement of seed in furrowed earth,
And a blackbird whistling sweet and clear
From a green-sprayed bough.
